AARP Theater: ‘The Barber of Seville’

Enjoy an evening of theater with this performance of the comic opera Il Barbiere di Siviglia by Gioachino Rossini, with an Italian libretto by Cesare Sterbini based on the French comedy The Barber of Seville (1775).

Legendary director Pier Luigi Pizzi presents a triumph from the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro (2018) with this production featuring minimalistic sets and costumes and a brilliant cast of singers. Yves Abel conducts the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI and the Chorus of the Teatro Ventidio Basso.
