HomeFit: Making Your Home Safe and Livable for All

Many older adults wish to stay in their homes and communities as they age, but only a small fraction of homes have universal design features, such as single-story layouts or wheelchair-accessible sinks. AARP HomeFit workshops teach participants about the types of home modifications that can help them age in place and go about their daily activities while staying comfortable and independent with a reduced risk of injury.

Using the free AARP HomeFit Guide, this presentation will provide practical tips and strategies – from improving lighting to adding railings – to help you or your loved ones transform any residence into a “lifelong home.”
