In this session we will delve into the rising costs of medications and how seniors can access affordable medications. This topic touches on medical equity, focusing on the economic challenges seniors face and the resources that can help bridge the gap, such as prescription assistance programs, online tools, and apps that offer discounts.

Bio:

Alexander Major is a retired healthcare executive with a background in leadership, operations management, and supply chain optimization. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he gained medical training and served in Texas, California, and Germany. He now mentors students as a Graduate Adjunct Professor at Lehman College, focusing on healthcare leadership. In previous roles, he led perioperative services at Lincoln Medical Center and Beth Israel Medical Center, where his financial management reduced costs significantly. He holds an M.S. in Organizational Leadership from Mercy College and a B.S. in Health Services Management, graduating with distinction. Click here for Alexander’s full bio!
