In collaboration with The Generations Project, AARP Oregon presents LGBT Quesdays, a monthly virtual social gathering to connect people within the LGBTQ+ community and allies, using writing and discussion prompts. Topics vary from the light and humorous to the personal. The 2024 theme is Powered by Connection, which recognizes the profound impact that meaningful relationships and social connections have on our health and well-being.
Between each writing period, the group engages in conversation guided by facilitators from The Generation Project, which cultivates intergenerational community and preserves LGBTQ+ history through oral story sharing. No writing experience or time commitment is necessary; each session stands alone.
How to Join
You will need to register separately for each session you are interested in attending. Please note that you must be signed in to your AARP.org account or create an account to register for events. AARP membership is not required. You will be emailed a link to join the class via Zoom prior to the event.
