History-Making Women of Concord, Massachusetts

Meet some trailblazing women from the little country town of Concord who helped shape our country's history.

REGISTER HERE

Concord, Massachusetts, has been home to more than its share of writers and rebels who influenced the course of American history. They included dozens of courageous and visionary women who challenged the glass ceilings of their time.

Some are well-known, like Louisa May Alcott. Others, like antislavery activist Ellen Garrison, are only now getting the recognition they deserve. In this virtual presentation you'll meet many of them, and their stories may surprise you.

Speaker Victor Curran teaches and writes about the men and women who made Concord the home of American independence and imagination.

And next in our history series on 4/30/24 at 1pm EST, Patriots of Color in Revolutionary New England
