Virtual Tour: A Visit to Pittsburgh’s Nationality Rooms

In honor of Black History Month, we’ll take a virtual trip to the University of Pittsburgh's renowned Nationality Rooms.

To celebrate Black History month, join AARP Pennsylvania for a virtual tour of the University of Pittsburgh’s Nationality & Heritage Rooms. This tour will offer an in-depth examination of the University’s African Heritage Room and highlight the contributions of local African American leaders to regional history. 

The Nationality Rooms include 31 rooms, used both as classrooms and as community space, that were designed over nearly 100 years to reflect the cultures of the ethnic communities that helped build Pittsburgh. The tour is presented in partnership with the Nationality and Heritage Rooms & Intercultural Exchange Program at the University of Pittsburgh.
