Joseph Garrera, executive director of the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum, will explore the role African Americans played in helping President Abraham Lincoln promote racial justice.
Learn about the influence of escaped slave-turned-abolitionist Frederick Douglass, for example. And how numerous others, including both Blacks and whites, inspired Lincoln to issue the Emancipation Proclamation and ultimately push for the Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution that banned slavery.
