Chutney is a gluten-free spicy or savory condiment made from fruits, vegetables and/or herbs originating in India. Besides being a traditional accompaniment to many Indian dishes, it makes a great spread or dip.
In this session of our virtual series on Indian cuisine, we will make the two most popular Indian chutneys, tangy tamarind chutney and cilantro chutney. You will also learn how to have several basic ingredients of Indian meals prepped and ready, such as the ginger paste and tomato and onion paste that can be used in many of your dishes. If you like, you can download a list of ingredients to have on hand.
