Preparing To Be a Caregiver

Learn what steps you can take today to prepare to become a caregiver for a loved one tomorrow.

No matter where you are in the journey of family caregiving – just beginning to anticipate a need, helping to coordinate a big move, or taking care of a family member full-time – having a good framework to help guide your own and your loved one’s decisions will make the process easier.

During this online class, we will share a framework to help you make plans to care for a friend or loved one, designed to help you start a conversation about the need for care, put together a caregiving team and find support, for example. You will have the opportunity to connect with other family caregivers, exchange tips and advice, and learn about resources available to you and your loved ones.

How to Join

Please note that you must be signed in to your AARP.org account or create an account to register for events. AARP membership is not required. You will be emailed a link to join the class via Zoom prior to the event.
