These online gentle yoga classes offer a refreshing and renewing time out in a stressful world.

Join certified yoga instructor Cathy Arnault for our 60-minute online gentle yoga classes. All you will need is a mat, a small blanket and water. Yoga blocks and a strap may be helpful for modifications.

The practice starts with pranayama (meditative breathing) and progresses from seated warm-ups to warm-ups on the hands and knees and then to standing asanas (postures). We focus on the six movements of the spine and gentle rotations of the joints, as well as gentle stretches and strengthening, and end with five minutes of savasana, or rest.

This gentle practice is intended to help you relax, refresh and renew, and you should only do what feels right to you. Please consult your physician before beginning any new exercise regimen.

How to Join

You will need to register separately for each class you are interested in attending. Please note that you must be signed in to your AARP.org account or create an account to register for events and complete a waiver of liability as part of the registration process. AARP membership is not required. You will be emailed a link to join the class via Zoom prior to the event.
