Join licensed yoga instructor and AARP Virginia volunteer Belinda Todd for a virtual class on chair yoga! Performing the gentle exercise of seated yoga poses and stretches makes the health benefits of yoga - such as improved strength and flexibility and stress relief - accessible to older adults who may not be comfortable holding standing poses.
Belinda, who fell in love with yoga in the 1970s and became a licensed instructor in 2016, describes yoga as a union of mind, body and soul that comes with a concentration on breath, meditation and mindfully connecting with the world around us. Please consult your physician before beginning any new exercise regimen.
