Join AARP New York for a four-part series introducing the fundamentals of tai chi, the ancient Chinese martial art whose slow and gentle, meditative movements have been shown to have beneficial effects on health.
In Session Three: Tai Chi Stance, we’ll practice three types of tai chi stances - Wuji (beyond measurement) stance, horse stance and bow stance - and learn how to transition from one stance to another. These transitions are an integral part of tai chi practice, promoting improved balance, coordination and stability. Please consult your physician before beginning any new exercise regimen.
