Storytelling can be a beneficial tool for all, and especially for caregivers. This free online event focused on storytelling in the LGBTQ+ community will feature voices of hope, resilience and love that will allow us to reflect on how storytelling can enhance the caregiving journey.
We'll hear from:
Scott McDonald, Executive Director of Southern AZ Senior Pride, who will share his experience as a caregiver of his partner, Tracy, while working full time.
Frank Thompson, lead facilitator for AZ Rhythm Connection, who will share a behind-the-scenes look at the community drum circles he hosts and their impact on well-being.
AARP believes in celebrating the diversity of the LGBTQ+ community across all generations and is committed to creating a new vision of aging for LGBTQ+ individuals, their families, and allies. Closed captioning services will be provided in both English and Spanish.
