Healthy Living: A Tai Chi/Qigong Workout
The ancient practices of tai chi and qigong combine slow, meditative martial arts movements and breathing and stretching techniques.

The experience of hundreds of years - and the findings of numerous studies - suggest that practicing the meditative movements and focused breathing of tai chi and qigong may have multiple beneficial effects on health, including helping to lower blood pressure and improve joint pain, reduce anxiety and stress, and strengthen balance and coordination. The goal of qigong is to enhance the body’s natural energy, or Qi.
This class is designed to help support general health and stress reduction and to improve coordination. The low-impact exercises will be conducted from both standing and sitting positions. Please consult your physician before beginning any new exercise regimen.
