Follow Olympic champion Greg Louganis in his struggles after his competitive career and his attempt to re-enter the diving world in a different light.

Back on Board introduces viewers to the real Greg Louganis, a four-time Olympic champion considered by many to be the greatest diver ever. The documentary follows his story over a three-year period as he struggles with the threat of losing his house during the financial crisis and is forced to re-evaluate his life and career.

The film also chronicles Louganis’ rise from a difficult upbringing to his stature as world-renowned champion and pioneering gay athlete with HIV, as well as his fade from glory. Finally, we see him return to the diving world – and the world stage -- after a long absence to promote tolerance and mentor the next generation.
