Book Club: “What the Dead Know,” by Laura Lippman

Explore contemporary issues in the 50+ community through the lens of literature.

AARP Maryland's Book Club is a volunteer-led series in which we explore contemporary issues in the 50+ community through the lens of literature. Selections explore authors from and stories emanating from the Maryland region that have broad appeal, including fiction and non-fiction tales of beauty, courage, and resilience. The 2022-23 series kicks off with a discussion of Laura Lippman’s “What the Dead Know,” a novel that explores the nature of grief and loss against the passage of time.

Sessions are facilitated by an array of authors whose works have chronicled life in Maryland, including Fran Severn, Susan Reiss and Christopher T. George, as well as community thought leaders Deborah Dickerson and Mary Angela Baker.
