Experience the Virginia Museum of Natural History from the comfort of your own home as museum staff lead you on a virtual tour of its celebrated Harvest Foundation Hall of Ancient Life! Featuring one of the world's finest stromatolite specimens, the fossil remains of Virginia's infamous Eobalaenpotera, and views inside a working paleontology research lab, the Hall of Ancient Life transports audiences into the prehistoric wonders of Virginia's past and provides a glimpse into the methods scientists use to present our Commonwealth's ancient stories. 

Christy Deatherage will serve as the guide for this presentation. Christy is the Education Manager at the Virginia Museum of Natural History. With 19 years of experience, she works with her team of educators to facilitate the interpretation of Virginia’s natural heritage while providing comprehensive and effective programs relevant to all citizens of the Commonwealth. Mrs. Deatherage serves as a facilitator for several Virginia based Environmental Education curriculum projects geared for K-12 educators. She also serves as an advisor for the local Southwestern Piedmont Virginia Master Naturalist Chapter. Mrs. Deatherage graduated from Ferrum College with a B.S. degree in Environmental Science and Biology.
