Ever since Barry Gordy Jr. founded Tamla Records on January 12, 1959, incorporated as Motown Record Corporation on April 14, 1960, the majestic label has influenced every inflection and aspect of our culture. In this episode, we go behind the influence that specific early Motown artists and songs had on the decade of the 80s. As some of the most successful artists and bands of the neon decade tipped their hats to what many in the 60s deemed as the sound of Young America. From New Wave Artists to Hard Rock Bands to Pop Stars, Motown inspired artists of all genres.

This is a FREE event but registration is REQUIRED. Please DO NOT opt out of emails from CVENT as we will send you an email with the link to join the lecture.
