As we prepare for all of our Holidays this time of year, we will be discussing the power of a little light to spark hope. Viktor Frankl founded Logotherapy, a concept which helps people find meaning in life. He developed this form of therapy in the concentration camps, and we will talk about how hope can provide meaning to all of us at this time of year. We have all been through a lot, and sometimes hope can be a rare commodity. If you have a chance, please read Man's Search for Meaning by Dr. Viktor Frankl, from which Rabbi Aft will excerpt during his presentation.

Rabbi Bruce Aft, currently Rabbi Emeritus, served as the spiritual leader at Congregation Adat Reyim in Springfield, Virginia, for 29 years. A graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Philadelphia, Aft received an honorary doctor of divinity degree in 2006. In retirement he continues his affiliation as adjunct professor at George Mason University plus his many other educational endeavors, including volunteering with the Washington Nationals Baseball Academy.

Please note that AARP will email you the link to the OLLI Mason Zoom platform on which the event will be hosted.
