Late fall is the transitional time along the California coast, as humpback whales complete their feeding season and head south to Mexico for calving. Join marine biologist Dorris Welch for a deep-dive discussion on the gray, humpback and blue whales that congregate seasonally along the eastern Pacific coastal waters to feed, breed, calve and migrate. Hear first-hand whale tales gleaned from years on the water operating a whale watch vessel in Monterey Bay, California, as you gain insight into the extreme adaptations, including migrations and cooperative feeding that our fellow mammals have evolved to thrive in their ocean realm.
