This informative discussion and cooking demo with feature IPA Guacamole dip and a Chocolate-chip Stout Milk Shake. You will also learn how to make beer battered onion rings and beer battered fish.

If you want to follow along please have two types of beer, a double IPA an IPA of your choice. Additionally you will need the following:

IPA Guacamole

Adding some beer flavor to your next fiesta just got easier. Grab your favorite high-hopped beer and make sure to enjoy this chips, loud music, and lots of friends. This is a great recipe for a double-hopped IPA. Because a small amount of beer is called for, you need one that packs a punch – the more hops the better.

3 cups avocado flesh (about 4 large avocados)

1 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice

½ tsp chili powder

½ tsp garlic powder

¼ cup IPA beer

½ cup red onion, chopped

1/3 cup diced tomatoes

½ tsp salt

3 tbls cilantro, chopped

1 jalapeño, stemmed, seeded, and chopped (about 2 1/2 tbls)

Add all ingredients to a bowl and mash.

Chocolate-chip Stout Milk Shake

Here an old-fashion malt shop meets a pub favorite. The cold ice cream makes this a great dessert for summer, but the rich stout lets you know you can drink it all year long.

3 cups vanilla ice cream

1 cup dark chocolate chips

1 cup chocolate stout (If you want to mix it up a bit, you can try a bourbon barrel aged-stout or for a new twist even a smoky porter,)

Add all ingredients to a blender, blend until combined, and serve immediately.

Prefer just to watch? Bring your favorite beer and enjoy a refreshing drink during a Q&A and discussion about dishes enhanced by beer.
